A Day of Kindness at the Ballpark: Supporting Autism Awareness with Hope for Three
On Sunday, April 12, 2026, The Nest School Towne Lake stepped out into the community for a truly meaningful day supporting autism awareness alongside families, children, and local organizations at Constellation Field.
A Special Partnership for an Important Cause
As part of our KindNEST Charitable Giving Program, our Towne Lake team proudly supported Hope for Three Autism Advocates, an organization dedicated to providing resources, support, and community connections for families affected by autism.
The event took place at Constellation Field, home of the Sugar Land Space Cowboys (the minor league affiliate of the Houston Astros), where the ballpark transformed into an inclusive and welcoming space designed specifically for children on the autism spectrum.
Creating Joyful, Inclusive Experiences
This special day was all about creating moments of connection, joy, and belonging.
Children were paired with volunteers for pre-game activities, giving parents a chance to relax and recharge. The experience included:
- A parade on the field
- Face painting
- Balloon artists
- Interactive, sensory-friendly activities
Our Towne Lake team had the opportunity to interact directly with children during the pregame event, an experience that was just as impactful for our staff as it was for the families.

At The Nest School Towne Lake, supporting Hope for Three is deeply personal.
Our Director Briana Brown shared:
“As a parent of a child on the autism spectrum, I understand firsthand how important it is to have access to resources, support, and a strong community. My own journey in finding guidance and connection made a lasting impact on me, and it is something I am passionate about extending to others.”
This connection fuels our commitment to ensuring every family feels supported especially those navigating an autism diagnosis.
We believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, and that begins with providing families with the tools, encouragement, and community they need.
A Team Effort Rooted in Kindness
Beyond the impact on families, this event also brought our team together in a meaningful way. It was a powerful reminder that small acts of kindness can create lasting change.
Our teachers shared their experiences:
“This experience has been life changing for me. Being able to do a simple act of kindness for a family makes it all worth it. I would volunteer with Hope for Three again.”
-Maria Cruz, Hummingbirds Teacher
“I love working with Hope for Three Autism Advocates because, through my experience with my nephews and 11 years of working with students on the spectrum, I’ve gained a deep understanding of their needs and a passion for making sure they feel supported, included, and celebrated.”
-Shatorey Hicks, Penguins Teacher
Living Our Mission Beyond the Classroom
Events like this are a reflection of what we believe at The Nest Schools: kindness, community, and inclusion don’t stop at the classroom door. Through partnerships like this, we continue to build a culture where every child and every family feels seen, supported, and empowered. Because when we come together with purpose, we don’t just create moments, we create impact.
