We’re proud to share some exciting news from our Colorado Nest Schools! Our locations in Ken Caryl, Broomfield, and Columbine have officially earned recognition from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)—a major milestone and a powerful testament to the high-quality early learning experiences we’re creating every day.
This recognition is more than just a badge of honor—it’s the first big step toward full NAEYC accreditation, an elite achievement reached by only a small percentage of early childhood programs across the country. It means that these schools are already demonstrating excellence in key areas like curriculum, teaching, family engagement, and child development.
“This recognition is a meaningful reflection of the high standards we strive for,” said Jane Porterfield, founder and president of The Nest Schools. “It’s a celebration of the incredible work our teachers do every day to create inspiring, engaging, and enriching environments where children feel confident to grow, explore, and thrive.”
At The Nest, that commitment to quality shows up in every moment of the day—from our research-backed curriculum to the nurturing relationships built in every classroom. Children grow socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically through hands-on learning and meaningful play. They also participate in our signature enrichment programs—Paints & Pianos, Fit Buddies, and The Art of Living—each led by a dedicated educator and designed to spark creativity, build wellness habits, and teach real-life skills in fun, age-appropriate ways.
While we celebrate these three schools, we’re not stopping here. Several more of our schools are already working toward this important recognition, continuing our mission to deliver the very best in early childhood education—one Nest at a time.
