Florida VPK
The Nest Schools is proud to participate in Florida’s Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK), a statewide program that provides free preschool for 4-year-olds at each of our schools. This is a highly competitive program, and spaces fill up fast. The following requirements must be met to be considered for this program:
Eligibity
- Child must be 4 years old before September 1st of the current school year
- Proof of residency (bill such as power, water, mortgage)
- Child application 100% complete

Wraparound Care – your child can attend preschool and stay with us for the full day, before and after UPK hours, creating a consistent, familiar routine.
Meals Included – we provide breakfast, lunch, and snack, so there’s no need to pack meals each day!
Stay Connected – our parent app lets you follow your child’s day with updates, photos, and messages from their teachers.
Kindergarten Readiness – your child will build confidence, independence, social skills, and early academic foundations to be well prepared for kindergarten and beyond.
How to Get Started
Families apply for VPK directly through Florida’s Early Learning Family Portal. Once approved, you’ll be able to select The Nest Schools as your preferred provider.
